Is your shuttle free?
Yes! Our shuttle is complimentary to our guests.
What are the shuttle hours?
Our shuttle runs from 7am through 11pm. We will occasionally make arrangements for pick-ups at events or for other special circumstances -- just ask.
Where can the shuttle take me?
Anywhere within a 5-mile radius. The shuttle can take you to a variety of popular attractions, places of work, businesses, restaurants, theatres, casinos, museums and more. The shuttle can go anywhere of your choice in the culturally rich areas of Downtown, Greektown, Corktown, Mexicantown, New Center, and of course, Midtown! Leave your car keys in your pocket and let The Inn on Ferry Street be your chauffeur.
Where do I pick up the shuttle?
You can alert anyone at the front desk in the Scott House and they will notify the driver to pull the shuttle to the front of the property.
Do I need to schedule the shuttle in advance?
It is recommended that you contact the front desk or a driver at least 20 minutes in advance to obtain a shuttle. Shuttle service is based on a first-come-first-serve policy.
How do I get back to the Inn?
The front desk or our drivers will give you a business card with our phone number so you can call us when you are ready to be picked up from your destination.
Does the shuttle taxi between destinations?
No. The shuttle only drives guests between their destinations and the hotel.
What are your driver's qualifications?
All of our drivers are required to have a State of Michigan chauffeur license and are thoroughly trained to ensure that you have the safest possible travel during your stay at The Inn on Ferry Street. All of our drivers are also very knowledgeable about the City of Detroit, can provide directions, recommend restaurants, and give you historical information.
Do I need to tip the driver?
Tipping is suggested for our free shuttle service; however, it is not required. The average tip should be based on the quality of service you receive.
What if I accidentally leave something on the shuttle?
We have you covered! Anything found on our shuttle will be returned to the front desk where guests can inquire about lost items. If you have left the Detroit area, the Inn can certainly mail or FedEx your lost items to you. Just call us at 313.871.6000.
How many people can the shuttle accommodate?
