How many rooms are there at The Inn?

The Inn has forty rooms among its four restored Victorian mansions and two carriage houses.

 

Will I have my own bathroom?

Yes, all of our Guest rooms have a private bathroom with all of the essentials.

 

Where do I check in?

All Guests check in and out at the Scott House. The address for Scott House is 84 E Ferry St, this house can also be identified by “The Inn On Ferry Street” sign in the front and by sign on the back of the house as well as the accessible ramp. The Scott House is also where all Guests enjoy breakfast and access the business center.

 

What time is check in and out?

Check in starts at 3:00p and check out is any time before 12:00p.

 

I’m arriving early/late do I need to do anything?

A member of our team is at the Front Desk 24/7 and will be happy to assist you at any time during your stay. While we are happy to note requests for early check in we cannot guarantee this. Our popular Inn is frequently sold out and we must allow time for our previous Guests to depart and our staff to prepare for the next Guest.

 

What are your cancellation policies?

We kindly ask that you let us know before 3:00PM EST the day prior to scheduled arrival should you need to cancel your reservation. Reservations canceled after this time are subject to a penalty of the first nights room and tax. Should you depart earlier to the departure date confirmed for any reason an early departure fee will be imposed.

 

When is breakfast and what items are served?

Our complimentary breakfast is served from 6:00a until 10:00a Monday thru Friday and from 7:00a until 11:30a on Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs and toppings, quiche, frittatas or french toast, waffles, fresh fruits, yogurt, oatmeal, cereals, breads and baked goods. Lactose free milk, gluten free and vegan options are available as well.

 

Where is your parking?

Parking is located behind The Inn in our secure lot. It can be accessed from the driveway to the right of The Scott House at 84 E Ferry Street.

 

Do you have a restaurant?

The Inn does not have a restaurant but we do have options! Uber Eats and Grub Hub have many other delivery options available. We also have an honor bar in the Scott House with Michigan made snacks, soda, beer and wine for purchase.  There is no shortage of great restaurants near The Inn, our list of top restaurants nearby can be found on our website and at the Front Desk.

 

How does the hotel shuttle work?

Our shuttle transports Guests on demand from 7:00a until 11:00p. Our service is available to and from The Inn for trips within five miles.

 

Do you hold events and meetings at The Inn?

We no longer hold weddings or social events at The Inn. Our meeting space is available to those who additionally book a block of rooms comparable to the size of the meeting.

 

Is there an elevator?

There are no elevators at The Inn and rooms are located on the first, second, and third floor. Almost all of our rooms require some stairs. Our bell staff is happy to assist you in taking luggage to/from your room. We are also happy to accommodate requests for lower floors.

 

Can I book a whole house and utilize the parlor?

Yes! Our Group Sales department is available to assist you in reserving an entire house(s). When booking all rooms in a house the parlor area is available to those Guests for casual gathering.

 

The common areas are beautiful can I use them?

Common areas inside and outdoors are available for Guests use until 10:00p.

 

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes, Guest rooms and common areas all have complimentary wi-fi.

 

Is your hotel available for photo shoots and filming?

Our hotel is not available for photo shoots or filming. Those Groups who book an entire house are permitted to take photos in the house(s) which they contracted during their stay.

 

Can I request a certain house, floor, room, feature?

We are always happy to take requests and will do out best to accommodate. Many factors play a role in how our are rooms are assigned so we are not always able to accommodate all requests.

 

Can I send a package to the hotel?

We are happy to accept up to three small packages for you. Larger packages or additional packages will be charged a handling fee. Packages can be sent to The Inn On Ferry Street to your attention.

 

Do you allow pets?

The Inn has a no pet policy with the exception of those who’s master relies on their aid. We do have a nice pet day care and boarding here in Midtown, ‘Canine to Five’ as an alternative.

 

Is there a minimum check in age?

Yes, the Inn has a minimum check in age of 21.

 

What are your policies regarding Visitors?

The Inn’s hotel policies must be as unique as hotel itself and therefore anyone accessing Guest rooms and common spaces must be registered Guests of the hotel.  As we consider our Guest comfort and enjoyment as our highest priority we must reserve our limited areas and amenities for our Guests only. This includes our hotel parking, breakfast, and shuttle. There are many great places in the area to meet up with friends and family and our hotel staff would be happy to make recommendations.

 

GROUP INQUIRIES

Due to the unique nature of The Inn we kindly ask that Groups reserve an entire house. We want all of our Guests to enjoy a quiet and relaxing stay at The Inn. For this reason, we do not combine groups in part of a house shared with Guests who are not affiliated with the Group. We cannot guarantee placement of rooms in the same area of a house if the entire house has not been contracted. The Inn also has a 10:00p quiet time. After this time Guests are not permitted to gather in rooms or commons areas. Booking an entire house allows for the freedom of Groups to gather and enjoy each other’s company. We no longer host weddings, showers, reunions or other social events.
